Cowboy op de Fiets is a children’s album and Tweetakt Theatre play by Sam van Hoogstraten (aka. the cowboy).

I was asked to create a visual identity that broke free of the candy-coated, hyper approach that’s usually used to target children (particularly in the music industry). The visual identity needed to introduce the brand, as well as the characters and subjects from the songs, and appeal to children as well as their parents. I created a natural, hand drawn world for children, featuring stop motion animation and collectable merchandise. For the parents, I was given creative freedom to create something a bit more … rock.
